The Bob Timberlake Gallery
A native of Lexington, Bob Timberlake is known internationally as a painter and designer whose depiction of the simple life in North Carolina characterizes his realistic style. A Timberlake work embodies the rural beauty, history and tradition of Davidson County and reflects the pride of workmanship that is the foundation of the county's furniture heritage.

Dempsey's Place
In the heart of downtown Welcome on old Highway 52, you’ll find the gallery of local artist Dempsey Essick. You'll know you have arrived at Dempsey's Place when you see the 14 foot tall hummingbird sculpture by the door!
Dempsey’s realistic style brings not only our local Davidson County history and personalities to life, but that of other places like the Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina’s Outer Banks and Charleston as well! His painstaking attention to detail plus a hidden hummingbird in each painting are Dempsey’s trademarks. The environment at Dempsey's Gallery is homespun and relaxed, showcasing the artist's impression of nature and familiar destinations. The Mike Helsabeck Collection Gallery
Mike’s love for nature is evident from the moment you step inside the gallery. Glance toward your feet as you enter the gallery…it appears as if a winged creature walked in just before you and left his prints. A glance upward shows you they may still be present! From his association with the Duck Commander, BASS Pro Shops, and Charleston Forge, nature will greet you around every corner. Mike’s prints feature North Carolina light houses and waterfowl, his hunting trips and the countryside that surrounds him. An accidental artist, this Lexington native was chosen as the 2006 & 2007 North Carolina Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year and the 2006 North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission’s Featured Artist.
The Mike Helsabeck Collection Gallery is a wonderful destination to both see and purchase the work of other artists as well. The Gallery features paintings by Carolyn Henion and Cary Savage-Ingram as well as hand carved duck decoys by Allan Page, Jerry Tarlton and Anthony Brooks. Other items include baker’s and wine racks by Boone’s Charleston Forge, hand crafted furniture by Lexington’s Keith “Bub” Wright and Seagrove pottery by Ray Pottery.
Whether it is in the art, home accessories or gallery itself, you’ll feel like the outdoors is indoors with you!
